Alexandra "Lexie" Grüber-Pérez
Alexandra “Lexie” Grüber-Pérez is a London-based designer, policy advisor, and television presenter on a mission to bring innovative design into unexpected places.
She brings her unique design approach to her role as a presenter on the new CBS show ByDesign, showcasing how design can be applied to tackle problems and spark change in sustainability, transportation, and beyond. Going behind the scenes with designers, engineers, and other creators, she unveils the magic of human-centered design for viewers across America.
Lexie has over a decade’s experience driving systemic reforms of critical public services. Most recently, she served as Senior Advisor in the Biden Administration’s Department of Health & Human Services, where she led efforts to reinvent outdated policy-making processes to drive innovation in child welfare. Her advocacy improving foster care has been honored by leaders like Senator Orrin Hatch.
Previously Lexie modernized health and human service agencies as an Accenture consultant, and served a DNC Presidential Fellow and worked in Congress.
She holds a B.A. in Political Science from Quinnipiac University, and a M.A. in Service Design from the Royal College of Art.
