Part-Time Case Manager

Position Overview:
SUN Scholars Inc. is seeking a passionate and organized Part-Time Case Manager to join our team and assist our Executive Director. The Case Manager will play a vital role in ensuring the accurate and effective management of student case files and data and overseeing work completed by our full-time student support coordinators. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational and communication skills. The role is part-time, and will predominantly serve in the capacity of reading completed materials and providing 1:1 supervision on cases with our full-time Student Support Coordinators. The job can likely be completed in 4 hours a week once a candidate is comfortable in the role, but weeks will flex between 4-12 total hours.
This is a grant funded position, with funding expanding for at least 18 months, potentially up to 3 years.
Responsibilities:
Case File Management:
Review and maintain accurate and up-to-date case files for the SUN Scholars Inc. cohort.
Ensure all student meetings and interactions are properly documented and filed.
Develop and maintain a clear narrative within each student's folder, reflecting their progress and needs.
Data Integrity:
Ensure that all collected data is accurate, consistent, and beneficial for student support.
Assist in the analysis and reporting of student data as needed.
Staff Collaboration:
Conduct weekly 1:1 meetings with two staff members to review 5-10 student cases from the previous week.
Provide constructive feedback and insights to enhance student support strategies.
Communicate with the executive director as needed.
Administrative Support:
Other administrative tasks as needed to ensure the smooth operation of SUN Scholars Inc.
Qualifications:
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently1 and collaboratively.
Proficiency in data entry and basic computer applications.
Experience working with youth or in a social service setting is preferred.
Understanding of the challenges facing foster and adopted youth is highly valued.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Preferred: Lived expertise in the child welfare system.
Time Commitment:
4-12 hours per week, with flexible scheduling.
2-3 times a month student meetings are reviewed.
Weekly meetings with other staff members.
In-person requirement for direct staff meetings.
Compensation:
Competitive and negotiable, based on experience.
