Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, by Robert M. Pirsig
This book is certainly about much more than motorcycle maintenance. It is a profound story of philosophical exploration and complexity. It is a rather dense read, and is not what I would consider an “easy read,” but one that is remarkably informative, self-reflective, and certainly a book everyone should read in their lifetime. It’s a few hundred pages, and will take some time to grind through from start to finish. You should plan on finding a used copy of this book to take notes in, as critical reading is rather fundamental for this one as you’ll certainly want to go back and re-engage notes, thoughts, and points of reflection you may have had while reading.
