Lino Pena-Martinez, Board President

Lino Pena-Martinez is a board member of SUN Scholars. Pena-Martinez graduated from University California Santa Barbara with his Bachelors degree in both History of Art and Architecture and Environmental Sciences in 2016. Pena-Martinez published and presented a child-welfare policy report to the U.S. Congress & Whitehouse in 2019. Which eventually led him to work for the Committee on Energy & Commerce in the United States House of Representatives. Peña-Martinez currently serves the country in the Executive Branch at the Department of Energy, assisting with our nation’s transition to domestic clean energy sources and is supporting the implementation of the Investing in America agenda with the Office of Energy Jobs and the Office of Policy; there he is supporting initiatives on workforce development, job quality, research and analysis, and engagement with internal and external stakeholders around the country.
